West Jessamine and East Jessamine high schools’ Bass Fishing Team competed at Lake Cumberland over the weekend against a total of 62 boats on the water.

Luke Lamb and Ben Dean finished third. Jacob Wielgus and Justice Gayhart finished sixth, with Nathan Marshall and Braxton Lamb finishing seventh. Luke, Dean,Wields and Gayhart qualified for finals. Marshall and Braxton qualified for state finals previously.

Their next competition is scheduled to be the KHSAA regional competition, which will qualify teams for the KHSAA state tournament later this year, will be Saturday at Burnside Marina on Lake Cumberland.
