West Jessamine High School announces girls youth basketball training league

West Jessamine High School will offer a free youth training league for those interested in basketball.

The event will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. on Jan 20 and 27, and Feb. 10, 17, and 24. Located in the gym at West Jessamine High, 2101 Wilmore Road in Nicholasville, attendees are asked to enter through blue doors by the tennis courts. Girls in second through sixth grade are welcome.

Salvation Army visitation weekend at Asbury

Asbury University is offering a visitation weekend especially for Salvation Army students.

On Jan. 25 to 28, students will be able to attend classes and chapel, as well as have the opportunity to meet Salvation Army staff and students at the university. Those who attend will learn about financial aid opportunities and have the opportunity to become familiar with the Asbury campus.
