The Jessamine Chamber of Commerce’s first monthly luncheon of 2018 will feature new Nicholasville Police Chief Todd Justice and new Assistant Police Chief Chris Cain updating the community on law enforcement’s efforts to keep the community safe.

Located at 103 Bryant St. in the liquor store area of Sam’s Club, the lunch will be at noon Tuesday, and will cost $12 per person. Topics Justice will address include the current crime rate, goals of the new administration and how the community can help get involved.

“We work to secure speakers that not only effect the business community but the residents and families as well. Having a new chief of police is a huge change for our community,” said Ronda May, president of the chamber of commerce.

“(Come) hear how our police department is working diligently to solve crimes, keep our community safe and combating the drug epidemic as well as the new administration goals and challenges.”

May said the luncheon may also offer those in the community a way to see how joining the chamber can impact their business. The luncheon, she said, also serves as the perfect opportunity to network with business leaders and owners within the community.
