Bethel Harvest Church, located at 3260 Lexington Rd., presents Jessamine County Food Distribution the 4th Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. starting Saturday, Sept. 23. at the JD Legends parking lot located at 315 N. Second St. in Nicholasville. Free to all Jessamine County residents who present a county ID.

St. Luke Catholic Church, located at 304 S. Main Street in Nicholasville, will be offering classes about the Catholic faith at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evenings beginning on Sept. 6. These classes are open to everyone who would like to learn about the Catholic Church. The Wilmore Free Methodist Church, located at 1200 Lexington Rd. in Wilmore, invites the public to a seminar series entitled, “A Christian Eye Toward World Religions.” This five-week series provides a panoramic view of the history, beliefs, and practices of each religion and a comparison between the religion and Christianity. Dates and topics are as follows: Nov. 12 – Buddhism and Hinduism, Nov. 26 – Mormonism and Jehovah’s Witnesses and Dec. 10 – New Age Cults. High Bridge Church of the Nazarene, located at 115 Old Saw Mill Rd. in High Bridge, is calling for fellowship. The church will be hosting services each Sunday at 11 a.m. Everyone is welcome. The church was without a pastor for a while following the death of Harold “Moose” Horton who pastored there from 1969-2015. The new pastor is Emmitt Jackson of Lexington. Everyone is welcome. After much hardship, the church is at risk of closing its doors forever.

Saint Athanasius Orthodox Church, 100 Lime Lane, offers free bread from Panera Bread to families and individuals in need in the Nicholasville area every Sunday from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m.

Providence Christian Church, 101 Providence Way, hosts a “Bodies in Motion” low-impact exercise class every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.

Nicholasville United Methodist Church will offer a free meal from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday at 303 W. Maple Street in the Community Center.
