Jessamine County-based non-profit All God’s Children, Inc. has been awarded national re-accreditation by the Council on Accreditation (COA)in New York.

In addition to achieving the national recognition, the agency was also praised, as the Council’s CEO Richard Klarberg stated in the letter, “… for not having any out of compliance ratings in any of the fundamental practice standards.” Klarberg also offered his congratulations to the organization on what he called an “amazing achievement.”

Klarberg’s letter also noted that “COA’s program of quality improvement is designed to identify providers that have met high performance standards and have made a commitment to their stakeholders to deliver the very best quality services. COA is proud to recognize All God’s Children, Inc. as one of these outstanding providers, and we wish you the very best in your continuing work with the individuals you serve.”

Typically, a re-accrediting agency will receive a report from COA outlining areas where some improvements, changes or modifications are needed before final re-accreditation can be considered. By achieving the “zero out of compliance” rating, the Council immediately moved AGC to the re-accreditation award.

“I’m so proud of our entire staff for achieving this national recognition,” said.

All God’s Children Executive Director Pam Smith. “Our staff’s love and sincere concern for Kentucky’s most vulnerable children is shown every day at AGC and we’re excited that it’s now being recognized nationally.”

All God’s Children, Inc. operates four different programs for children from their Nicholasville based operations: a residential treatment program for single mothers and their babies/children, a foster care program that operates in various counties and homes in central Kentucky, an independent living program (apartments) based in Nicholasville and an early learning center (day care). All four programs must individually and collectively achieve re-accreditation.

All God’s Children, Inc. was founded in 1997 by Pam and Karl Smith of Nicholasville; both are still active today in its operations.

Now in its 20th year of operation, this is the fourth accreditation/re-accreditation of the agency. However, it is the first time it has received the prestige of a “zero out of compliance” rating. The organization, which is also a member of the Children’s Alliance of Kentucky, undergoes re-accreditation every four years.
