Things are fixing to get hairy at Riney-B Park & Aquatic Center, located at 300 Martin Luther  King Blvd. in Nicholasville this Saturday.

The Animal Hospital of Nicholasville, Jessamine County Animal Care & Control and Nicholasville-Jessamine County Parks & Recreation are presenting the annual Barks & Rec Day event, featuring pony rides, a petting zoo, vendors, a prize wheel, animal trivia and food vendors. Those who bring their canine pals will also be able to take part in The Fast and the Furriest 5k Cross-Country Run, The Fun Run 3k and The Pooch Plunge.
