Mrs. Katherine “Katie” Beam Hall, 80, of Nicholasville and formerly of Bardstown, Kentucky passed away Friday, April 14, 2017, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on May 2, 1936, to the late Charles Everett and Alberta Spalding Beam. Katie was a beloved member of her community. She served as the Executive Director of the Jessamine Chamber of Commerce, was an active member on several community committees, began the March of Dimes chapter in Nelson County, where she served as the chairwoman for several years and was an active member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Nicholasville.

Katie is survived by her sons, Joe Hall of Nicholasville and Jeff (Deanne) Hall of Paris, KY; her daughter, Kim Withers of Nicholasville; and sisters Mary (Andrew) Steckbeck and Frances (Fred) Clements of Lexington. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Frank Hall, sister, Barbara Mudd and brothers Charles Everett Beam, Jr. and Richard Lawrence Beam.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017, at Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with Fr. Patrick Fitzsimmons celebrant. Visitations will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19 at Betts & West Funeral Home in Nicholasville and from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 20 at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown with evening prayers to follow.
