William Halfhill

Aug. 20, 1921 – Feb. 26, 2017

William Walter Halfhill, 95, died Sunday, Feb. 26. He was born August 20, 1921 in Jessamine County to the late Goebel and Roberta Caywood Halfhill. Half was a farmer, a graduate of the University of Kentucky, Farm Bureau Director and a UK sports fanatic. He is survived by several cousins including, David Caywood, TN; John (Martha) Caywood, Danville, KY; Bruce Edward (Carolyn) Mulcahy, Lancaster, KY; Walter Harris and Tommy Harris. Service will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Bearers will be Luther Deaton, Dennis King, Jay Corman, Lloyd Watkins, Robert Williams, Roy Williams, Harold Duvall and Chuck Stepleton. Honorary Bearers will be Howard Downing, Joann Staton, Sandy Adams, April Corman, Shawna Corman, Tammy Taylor, Amy Page, Steve Deaton, Lisa Greer, Cathy Lowe, Landy Dale, Marion Sherrow, Bobby Perkins and Larry Hutson.
