The Annual Wilmore Arts & Crafts Festival is back for it’s 19th year to feature a variety of handmade goods.  

“We have pretty much kept the same structure that we inherited,”  Co-chair of Wilmore Arts & Crafts Festival Mary Miller said. 

The main point is to get people to come down, shop, and then have this music as an added feature, she said.  

Some scheduled musicians include the local Wilmore folk group Barely Shaken Band, Bluegrass group Cane Run, home-grown guitarist and singer Wes Houp, Tall Dark Handsome Four (TDH4), and guitarist and folk singer Dave Butler, according to the Wilmore website.

“We have quite a variety of vendors,” Miller said. “We have people that sell wood products, a weaver, a man who makes brooms from different centuries including the way they were made in that time. We have a lot of jewelry, photographers and artists.”

Pony rides will be offered for children from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and there will be an artist doing silhouette art for free. The Farmers Market will also make an appearance, Miller said.

There will also be plenty of local food vendors selling items such as kettle corn. 

“There is a great community spirit,” Miller said. “It’s a great time to visit with neighbors and friends. There are so many crafts to see and their is quite a variety.” 

The festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 1 on Main Street in Wilmore. Providence School will serve as a rain venue in the event one is needed.
