The Kentucky Elementary, Middle and High School Teachers of the year will be chosen at this ceremony.

The Kentucky Teacher of the Year — who will represent the state in the National Teacher of the Year competition — will be picked from the group of the three finalist.

This is the 16th year the partnership between the Department of Education and Ashland/Valvoline has honored Kentucky educators. Approximately $776,500 has been awarded to 524 teachers since 1988, according to a news release from the Kentucky Department of Education.
