— Nicholasville United Methodist Women’s Ministry will host Bible journaling from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept 10. A registration fee of $5 per person for materials and snacks will be due by Sept. 7. Child care will be available, reservations are needed.  

— A Yard sale, flea market and bake sale will be hosted from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday Sep. 9 and Saturday, Sept. 10 in front of Rite Aid at Kimberly Square.  

All proceeds wil go to the Helping Hands Ministry of Sonlight Fellowship Church of God.

— Mt. Beulah United Methodist Church, located at 1781 River Road, will host Pollard Day, an annual community gathering from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10. The event will feature food, a bake-off contest, prizes, good fellowship and southern gospel music. In concert at 6 p.m. will be Common Bond Quartet. Baked items for the contest should be presented by 4:15 p.m. for judging. Everyone is welcome.  

— Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Keene will be celebrating the church 149 anniversary and basket meeting Sept. 11. Guest speakers include Rev. Fexil Williams at 11 a.m. and Rev. Greg Nelson at 3:30 p.m.  

— Lamberts Chapel United Methodist Church Homecoming will feature a breakfast from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11. Sunday service will occur after the breakfast. Pastor Kent Crow will be a guest speaker.  

— Cornerstone Baptist Church of Nicholasville invites you to come discover the treasures of scripture as they go cover to cover through the Bible beginning September 11.  Sundays at 10:45 am.  The church is located at 1465 Keene Road.  For more information, call 881-1213 or visit www.cornerstonenich.com. 

— Do you want to know more about the Catholic Church? Beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, St. Luke Catholic Church will begin the Rite of Christian Initiation. This program will present the teachings of the Catholic faith; and whether you’re seeking to enter into the church, or want to learn about the Christian faith through the eyes of Catholicism, you are welcome to join on Wednesday evenings. — The Little Hickman Church will be hosting a reunion of the Little Hickman School from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17. Fried chicken will be provided, attendees are encouraged to bring two dishes with food and drinks and a chair to sit in. Please email jewellpblevins@windstream.net or call (859) 887-5243 by Saturday, Sept. 3 to let Jewell know you are attending and how many will be coming with you. 

—  Lord’s Legacy Life Ministires will host a Celebration from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24 at Bethel Harvest Church. They will break down barriers for any who are saved, but have not had the opportunity to be water baptized, due to physical and or accessibility reasons. Adaptive equiptment will be provided. This event is open to the community and is not limited to those with accessibility needs, the event is open to anyone who would like to participate.To participate contact MegAnn Lillley 859-245-2233 or megann@lordslegacyministries.org no later than Sept. 19. Light h’orderves and refreshments will follow the service.  

— Nicholasville Christian Church, 104 S 2nd, will be having their homecoming celebration on Sunday, September 25th. The day will begin with a special morning service, a potluck dinner at 5:00 pm followed with an evening of music.
