Good question speak; where were the parents of the young girl? Also, where was Baker's wife when he was making all those trips to Ohio? A family affair indeed.

To Shark88, when you asked where was Baker's wife? Obviously you have lived a very sheltered life. you obviously have never met a lying alcoholic, a shoplifter, a heroin user or a pedophile? These types of people have perfected the art of lying to the point that even the best of police have trouble sorting out the truth. Ms. Baker is as much a victim in this whole ordeal. SHE is the one who notified the police---She is the one who has had her world turned completely upside down. Yes, where were the parents of the child? Yes, the cell phone was Mr. Baker's downfall. But Mrs. Baker suspected he had one and prayed to God that he would help her find the hidden cell phone; which God did. Can you honestly say, that your wife/husband knows where YOU are 24/7? When you go to the store for that gallon of milk, is your spouse SURE that's where YOU are? Judge not, lest ye be judged!

Well I just want to say that the girls parents are just as much fault as the guys are well one of the guys are because where was they when she was sneaking out at midnight. I just have one question what age did the girl give Earnest baker? How old did she let him to beleive I beleive that Ernest Baker is gulity but not Bobby Bake because he is not like that now for Ernest Baked he can rot in there for all I care but Bobby doesn't deserve that he is better then that.

Well mister trucker74 how was they to know how old she really was girls now days are having sex at the age 11 so what if she wasn't so innecent in this whole thing. Because if she was honest about her age then maybe this wouldnt have happened to her I am not saying that I agree with what happened I am just saying that she should have told the truth about her age and why in the world get in a vehicle with some one wearing a ski mask that is so messed up and then let them out ear muffs iver her eyes that is not adding up at all and why go back repedily that just doesnt make since to me i think it is a lil funny to me.

My take on all of this is that Ms. Baker was an instrument used by God to bring down a sex offender in desperate need of help. Ms. Baker will soon see the treasure in all her trials! God bless the victims and God help those who are in need of healing.

The victims in the incident include BOTH the 13-year-old girl and the man's wife. Does anyone remember being 13? It's easily to be manipulated, especially if the girl had problems. Bluffton is a very, very small town -- it's plausible the girls' parents never believed anything like this would happen to her in such a "safe" environment.
