A Nicholasville real estate appraiser and business owner has announced his candidacy for Jessamine County property valuation administrator. Democrat Alex Carter passed the exam required by the state of Kentucky to qualify as a PVA candidate.
Carter graduated from West Jessamine High School and the University of Kentucky with a bachelor of business administration in finance.
He is currently employed as a state-licensed associate real estate Appraiser with Atlantic Appraisal Co. of Lexington, specializing in commercial properties. He is also the owner of Walker Energy Efficient Homes LLC, a home energy rating business that certifies new construction homes for the EPA’s Energy Star Program. Carter is the grandson of the late Waller Rhodes Carter, who served as chief deputy in the Jessamine PVA office for many years.
“Running for PVA has been a goal I have worked toward since job-shadowing Bob Thompson (previous Jessamine County PVA) while in high school,” he said in a news release.
He currently resides in Nicholasville. You can learn more about Carter and his campaign by visiting AlexCarter4PVA.com. For more information, contact Alex Carter at AlexCarter1@roadrunner.com.
