Asbury set eight school records at the 2010 NAIA Swimming and Diving National Championships as the women place eighth overall and the men finished 11th. Four relay teams and four individual marks were broken as Asbury has set 18 school records in 2010 alone.

The women had two relay teams, 200-meter medley relay and 400-meter medley relay, break school records. The 200-meter medley squad of Ranay Ray, Abigail Sterneman, Larissa Martin and Allie Hubach finished seventh overall in a time of 1:50.49.

The 400-meter medley also placed seventh with the same four swimmers finishing in 3:59.77. Ranay Ray’s 100-meter backstroke time of 1:00.62 was also a school record. Allie Hubach also set a new team standard in the 100-meter freestyle as she placed sixth with a time of 53.22. The 400-meter freestyle relay team of Ranay Ray, Ellen Worsham, Larissa Martin and Allie Hubach finished with a time of 3:35.65.

The men set three new records, including the 400-meter freestyle relay with Nathan Runtas, Trevor Ehrenheim, Blake Lawless and Matt Hood coming in at 3:12.99. The team placed 10th in the event. Ehrenheim also set new marks in the 200-meter and 400-meter individual medleys; he placed 14th in the 400-meter individual medley with a time of 4:14.17 and swam the 2,000-meter individual medley in 1:59.30.

The Eagles put swimmers in the top eight in eight events. Four of the five women’s relay teams were in the top eight with the 400-meter freestyle team placing fifth.

Allie Hubach had the best finish for the women as she finished sixth in the 100-meter freestyle. She would also place eighth in the 50-meter freestyle. Ranay Ray finished seventh in the 400-meter individual medley, 14th in the 200-meter backstroke and 16th in the 100-meter backstroke.

Larissa Martin also had three top-16 finishes, placing ninth in the 200-meter butterfly, 12th in the 100-meter butterfly and 15th in the 200-meter individual medley.

The lone senior, Abigail Sterneman, placed ninth in the 200-meter breaststroke and 10th in the 100-meter breaststroke.

Larissa Meadows placed 11th in the 100-meter breaststroke, and Lindsay Keyes was 15th in the 1,650-meter freestyle.

The men’s top finishers were Matt Hodd, sixth in the 200-meter freestyle and 10th in the 500-meter freestyle and Trevor Ehrenheim, 14th in the 200-meter backstroke and 400-meter individual medley.
