County reaches deal with former jail employee

news@jessminejournal.com
March 3, 2010

Jessamine County officials reached a settlement with former jail employee Dana Whitlock, who was seeking unemployment benefits after being fired last year for allegedly selling drugs. Under the settlement’s terms, Whitlock, 42, will make no future claims for unemployment benefits. Whitlock was fired May 15, 2009, after Nicholasville police arrested her on drug trafficking charges within 1,000 yards of a school. Her case is pending and has not gone to trial.
