Whitehouse honored at NBC

Brother Ken Whitehouse was honored Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Nicholasville Baptist Church’s 161st anni-versary celebration after being selected interim pastor of the church Feb. 21.

He and his wife, Tina, retired in December 2009 after serving 14 years as pastor of Ellers Memorial Baptist Church in Harrodsburg.

Elexene Cox, NBC’s history chairperson, presented the couple with a copy of the church’s history.

New Haven to hold monthly singing

The New Haven Chapel, 102 Southview Drive, invites the public to come be a part of its monthly singing at 6 p.m. every first Friday of the month. If you like listening to traditional southern gospel music, you are sure to enjoy this time of fellowship.

If you play an instrument, you’re invited to come share your talents with us.

Bethel to hold singing

Bethel Christian Church will host a night of singing at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 20. Those interested in performing are asked to contact Pastor Danny Smith at 859-887-2947 or 859-327-7698. The church is located at the corner of Bethel Road and Phillips Lane.

JCMA to hold fellowship breakfast

The Jessamine County Ministerial Association will hold its fellowship breakfast at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 6 at Golden Corral in Nicholasville.

This is not a business meeting, but a time of fellowship.
