The East Jessamine girls’ basketball team defeated Henry Clay, 52-49 in overtime on the road Tuesday night to win its second game in a row.
The two-game streak follows a two-game losing streak. But before that, the Jaguars had rolled through the Wolverine Classic at Western Hills. Four Jaguars were named to the All-Tournament team.
Liz Miller, who scored 18 points and picked up six assists against Wayne County was selected. She also had 17 points against Owen County and 13 against Bishop Brossart.
Eighth grader Alexus Calhoun was also selected. She pulled down 22 rebounds in the tourney and scored 16 against Wayne.
Emily Underwood poured in a dozen against Bishop Brossart and again against Owen County, to get an all-tourney nod.
Also selected, was junior point guard Brittany Quinn, who tossed in nine against Owen.
The Jags were undefeated on their way to winning the tournament.
